CORE AERATION AND OVERSEEDING
“Hard Clay” or compacted soils can cause your lawn to dry out and be susceptible to insects and disease. Compacted soils limit moisture, air and fertilizers from getting down to the root system. It also makes it difficult for roots to expand and grow. Aeration penetrates hard soil and lets in air, water and fertilizer to encourage new root growth. It also provides room for the roots to expand into the holes, and will reduce soil compaction. Cost is $109 for 5000 sq. ft. and under. Add $10 per additional 1000 sq. ft. over 5000. After aeration, spring is the perfect time to overseed your lawn to fill in the thin areas that were damaged over winter. Cost is $17 per 1000 sq. ft.
