SPRING DE-THATCHING
If your lawn has over ¾ of an inch of thatch (the layer of dead leaves, roots and stems) it can cause problems because it interferes with air, moisture and nutrients getting down to the root level. Thatch also encourages shallow root systems that are a breeding ground for damaging diseases and insects. Thatchy lawns should be dethatched in the spring to get the thatch layer down to less than ½ of an inch. The cost is $149 for 5000 sq. ft. and under. Add $10 per additional 1000 sq. ft. over 5000. We will also haul the grass away for you.
